It’s up to you to Prosper in Life

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” – Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

As I was praying and meditating on the Word of the Lord one day, God the Father opened my eyes to the principles which govern divine prosperity. As I was enjoying soaking myself into what the Father was revealing, He audibly asked me a question that sounded a little “odd” to me. He said: “Son, why do you think I laid down all these principles regarding divine prosperity?”

I sat there quietly pondering about how I was to respond. He continued, “Why is it that you must follow principles such as tithing, planting seeds, giving first fruits, giving to the poor et cetera?”
Before I even replied He said; “I gave you all these principles to justify this one vital truth and that is prosperity is a choice.”

He then proceeded to clarify to me that it’s a choice to be poor and it’s also a choice to be rich in life. Thus, He put forth those principles so that man should decide the kind of life they want to have and live—either be poor or to be rich (depending on whether one abides by the principles or not).

Now, what kind of life do you want to live? Do you desire to be happy and prosperous? Or do you want to be poor and be in penury? It’s all up to you. The best thing God did was to lay down His principles in the Scriptures; so you choose.

Prosperity isn’t only limited to finances. Prosperity means to journey well (in the course of your life). Yes, it’s you doing well in every aspect of your life— be it in your health, family life, finances, careers et cetera. Choose to follow His principles today and you’ll make your way prosperous.

Father, in the Mighty name of Jesus, thank you for opening my eyes through your Word. Your principles are bare in the Scriptures regarding my success in life. I commit myself to study your word and following your principles so that I may prosper thereby. Amen!
