In the book of Psalms 118 Vs 24(MSG) it says that “This is the very day GOD acted-- let's celebrate and be festive!” telling us that there is a day that God expects each one of us to rejoice because that day the Lord has done something, this is not just as any other day but it is the day the Lord has acted. When this day comes and you are just quite, the Lord gets surprised because in his initial plan he made that action for you to celebrate and be festive. The action you do in the natural by celebrating opens you to the spiritual things and it acts as an announcement in the Spirit.
The Lord doesn’t want to act and you forget his action, this he told the children of Israel in the book of Exodus 12vs 12 going down where the Lord smote the first born of the Egyptians and he said in verse 14 that “And this day shall be unto you for a memorial;
and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.” Showing us that the Lord doesn’t want to act and you forget the action, he told the Israelites to put this as an ordinance that they shall do this
always is you go down with the chapter you will see that he even prescribed the way they have to celebrate like the type of food to be eaten which tells us that when celebrating it is the time not just to be careless in food selection but rather we ought to eat the best food we ever dreamed because it’s the day the Lord acted.
The Lord wants us to celebrate in this way because it is not our effort that made us have this victory but his effort.
We celebrate because we recognize that the Lord has done something, he has acted and he even doesn’t want us to forget this up to generations.
